Richard Hogan is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Kilkenny county team from 2007 until 2023. Hogan is a native of Danesfort, County Kilkenny. He first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St Kieran’s College and joined the Kilkenny minor team at the age of fifteen.
Hogan later joined the under-21 side and made his senior debut in 2007. He then became a regular member of the starting fifteen and has won numerous All-Ireland, Leinster, and National Hurling League medals.
Hogan’s club hurling is with the Danesfort club, where he has also enjoyed success at the junior level, winning All-Ireland and Leinster titles.
Hogan announced his retirement from inter-county hurling in 2023.
