Glenn Ryan is a renowned Kildare football manager and former player. With an impressive career spanning both on and off the field, Ryan has established himself as a prominent figure in the sport.
In 2021, Ryan took on the role of manager for the Kildare county team. Prior to this, he managed both Longford and the Kildare under-21 team, proving his ability to develop and nurture young talent.
During his playing days, Ryan captained the Kildare team during a highly successful period in their recent history. The Lilywhites reached the 1998 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, a remarkable achievement. Additionally, Ryan led the team to victory in the Leinster medals in 1998 and 2000.
Ryan’s outstanding contributions did not go unnoticed. He was honoured with All-Star Awards in both 1997 and 1998. Furthermore, his remarkable talent earned him a well-deserved place on the Kildare Team of the Millennium, a testament to his lasting impact on the county.
He played his club football with Round Towers, where he achieved great success, winning the county title three times.
